Progressive Station - VENERA (Vinyl Version 2022) It was my first bold experiment with innovative sound devices and futuristic elements. The idea originated back in 2019, when I was working in a recreational and balneological complex remote from the city. Without any possibility for full-fledged sound recording, I started to form industrial mini-tracks using iron fittings, cardboard sleeves, thermal printers - all of which recorded on a portable recorder. Over time, I wanted to put these disparate experiments together into a coherent project with homemade sound devices and various amplitude modulators. I supplemented this system with superphysical phenomena: a Tesla generator, Jacob's ladder, and other devices that combine scientific precision with a metaphysical charge. In preparation for the presentation of the 15th anniversary of my creative activity, I decided to present the Progressive Station project for the first time among other official works as one of the most original and intellectual works of my practice. This is how VENERA's first EP was formed, atmospherically reminiscent of abandoned objects of technocratic civilisation, evoking associations with bizarre folk images, ghostly and otherworldly vibrations associated with occult spaces, as well as the image of Nikola Tesla's wandering spirit over the foggy hills - a kind of sonic reconstruction of Slavic DNA. Track List: 1. Russian Doll (Ulver) An interpretation of the work of the famous Norwegian synth-pop band Ulver, which actually started the preparation for the large-scale work on the project. Passing by the gloomy streets of post-Soviet factories and plants, I could feel their energy resonances - they inspired me to create my own industrial-scientific music laboratory. The composition was positively assessed by the authors of Ulver and received permission to be posted on digital platforms. 2. The Voltage Act (Electricity) This track is a sonic eruption, assembled from a number of scientific instruments: a Tesla generator, homemade analogue synthesisers, a shamanic wargan, etc. Here, I tried to convey the nature of the birth of electric current as a form of divine manifestation - pure energy that underlies life. 3. Через Поле Широкоє (Reincarnation) Living in the picturesque region of Transcarpathia, I could not stay away from the deep Ruthenian culture. This song is a tribute to my native origins, an emotional reconstruction of the genetic connection with my ancestors. The folk song is transformed in accordance with the atmospheric context of the project. 4. Рідна Мати Моя (Reincarnation) This is a gesture of love and gratitude to the Ukrainian ethnic tradition. Its interpretation in the Progressive Station format is a sound replica of an archetypal maternal presence transferred to a deep emotional and technological context. «VENERA» is worth listening to at least once - for all true aesthetes, connoisseurs of independent art, and seekers of the boundary between technology, folklore, and sound alchemy.
