RRR Post: http://ridersrangersandrambles.com/?p... Blog Post: http://wp.me/pJgaa-PA --- A Ranger fan's work is never done. Despite all three Megazords for Power Rangers Samurai being released, Bandai needed to fluff the line up with one more release. Instead of pushing a repaint or remold our way, Bandai thought they'd give fans an easy way to own the Samurai GigaZord, by making a Deluxe Megazord version of the formation. Naturally this is completely inaccurate to the show, and is massively slimmed down compared to the actual formation. What this looks like is more accurate to what you would get if you took what sits in the Bull Throne and attached to Samurai Battle Cannon to the back of it. Basically a mess. None of the pieces on this figure sans the GigaZord Disk are reused pieces. The drills, Battle Cannon pieces, ClawZord pieces, and Samurai Megazord pieces are all brand new. All the pieces sport little to no paint with oddly proportioned molding choices. For a Deluxe Megazord, I have to say that the paint apps are minimal, and the figure itself looks pretty horrible. The BeetleZord, SwordfishZord and ClawZord pieces are all attached to the BullZord arms, create a really bulky arm that looks weird when you position it in any way besides the static pose. The legs being virtually unpainted is gaudy as heck too. The figure has transformation into a "spaceship" by flipping the OctoZord head around, removing the arms, inverting the legs and clipping them together, and attaching the arms to the legs. While the...shape of the formation is a spaceship, it being made of GigaZord pieces looks horrible. If the GigaZord had been repainted a coherent color, then I might think different, but as it stands, it just looks really out there. Overall, I can only recommend this Megazord for parents who want their kids to own the GigaZord without paying over $150 for all of the individual pieces, or diehard collectors who want everything. Sure, it has some ZordBuilder mix-n-match capabilities with the other Megazords, but that isn't enough to make this a worthwhile purchase. It's inaccurate to the show, with shoddy paint applications and odd molding choices. While I like the thought and idea behind it, there's plenty of other things I'd have liked to see take the final Deluxe Megazord place then this thing. Giving this a YMMV (your milage may very) recommendation. Only get if you REALLY want it. --- Awesome Intro thanks to Ryokuya!
