In this video I show the steps and procedures necessary to replace a turbo charger on a 2.7 L eco-boost engine. In this video we are working on a 2015 F150 2wd. with about 170,000 miles. We are experiencing a severe lack of power and the check engine light has illuminated giving code P0299. This is a common code for these eco-boost engines and can be a number of things however in my instance, with this truck the wastegate on the left hand turbo charger was stuck frozen requiring replacement of the turbo charger assembly. Along with the replacement of the turbo charger you’ll need to replace various gaskets O-rings studs and hardware. Below is a complete list of tools and parts you’ll need to get the job done.
