Long before it became known for strange sightings, this land was sacred to the Wampanoag people. The Hockomock Swamp, in particular, was a spiritual crossing point… a place where the physical and spirit worlds were said to overlap. But everything changed in the 1670s during King Philip’s War. The same grounds that once held ceremony and meaning became a battlefield — one of the bloodiest in early American history. The weight of that violence settled into the soil, and for generations, locals have reported strange lights, shadow figures, cryptid encounters, and unexplained disappearances inside the Triangle’s boundaries. On this trip, I decided to experience the Triangle in the most vulnerable way possible: by camping inside it. My friend Lamar and I hiked deep toward Assonet Ledge, guided by a local dirt biker who pointed out what he believed might be Bigfoot evidence. As the sun went down, the atmosphere shifted immediately. Strange noises circled our tent, and when we left the campsite, our night-vision camera captured something creeping around in the darkness. By the next night, in another part of the Triangle, we encountered something even stranger — human feces left deep in the woods, raising questions about who, or what, is living out there. This adventure marks the beginning of a new journey for my channel: camping in the most haunted places in the world — from forgotten battlefields to abandoned towns to the paranormal hotspots that have terrified locals for generations.
