Flavored Strawberry Water Kefir 🥄 Ingredients – First Fermentation • 2 liters water • 1/4 cup sugar (organic cane sugar or any sugar) • 1/4 cup water kefir grains • 2 lemon slices • 1/4 cup raisins 🍓 Ingredients – Second Fermentation • 1/2 cup strawberries • a few mint leaves • lemon zest • 2 tbsp maple syrup • a small piece of ginger 👩🍳 Instructions First Fermentation 1. Add water, sugar and kefir grains into a glass jar. 2. Add lemon slices, raisins and mint leaves. 3. Stir gently until sugar dissolves. 4. Cover loosely and ferment for 24–48 hours at room temperature. Second Fermentation 5. Strain the liquid and remove the kefir grains. 6. Pour the kefir into bottles. 7. Add strawberries, mint, lemon zest, maple syrup and ginger. 8. Close the bottles and ferment another 24 hours for natural fizz. Final Step 9. Refrigerate before serving. 10. Enjoy a fresh, lightly sparkling probiotic drink.
