Can your heart rhythm shape your attention, mood, and decision-making? In this episode we explore neurocardiology 101—the science of how the heart and brain communicate—and why “trust your gut” and “follow your heart” often map to something measurable: interoception (your brain’s sensing of internal signals) and heart rate variability (HRV). You’ll learn: What the enteric nervous system (“gut brain”) really is—and what it isn’t How the heart and autonomic nervous system influence stress, focus, and emotional reactivity What HRV can (and can’t) tell you about regulation and resilience How to tell intuition vs. anxiety by checking state, signal quality, and running tiny tests A simple 3‑minute heart‑focused breathing practice (“coherence”-style) you can use anytime Included guided practice (3 minutes) Breathe smoothly: inhale 4–5 seconds, exhale 4–5 seconds Place attention on the chest/heart area Add a small, genuine feeling of appreciation or care Afterward, write one line: “After 3‑minute heart breathing, I noticed ____.” 7‑Day Intuition Calibration Challenge Once per day: do the 3‑minute heart‑focused breathing practice Journal two lines: “State before ____ / Signal after ____” Do one tiny, reversible test (ask one question, delay 24 hours, send one message) After 7 days, review patterns—this is how intuition becomes a skill, not a superstition. Important notes This video is educational and not medical advice. If you have a heart condition, panic disorder, severe trauma history, or feel distressed during inward focus, go gently and stop if needed.
