In the documentary CITY OF A MILLION DREAMS, filmed by director Jason Berry over more than 20 years, a violent storm and a parade shooting plunge the subjects, clarinetist Dr. Michael White and culture carrier Deb "Big Red" Cotton, into a search for the city’s soul. The film has screened at the Heartland International Film Festival, the Martha's Vineyard African-American Film Festival, the Sarasota Film Festival, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, the New Orleans Film Festival, and at Visions of the Black Experience in Sarasota; and has had many community and educational screenings.
