Trains in the Reading area - Part 1 - freight at Reading West - June 2025

In early June 2025 we spent two days in the Reading area, this is part 1 of a 2 part compilation of what we saw. Reading West seemed a good location to catch a variety of traffic crossing north to south and vice-versa due to the line diverging east and west north of the station. Although the weather was patchy for June, I was still able to capture a number of loco classes, Class 59, Class 60, Class 66, and Class 70 and a variety of DMU, EMU and bi-modal traffic. This was the first time I had been to Reading to film since 1990 (!) - see my late 80s videos on the channel - and I was surprised to see how much had changed - until 59001 Yeoman Endeavour turned up and took me right back to 1988!
