This is my first acoustic piano release in just intonation! I microtuned my baby grand piano to the Eurybian tuning + a few other unique intervals. This has been one of my favorite tunings to get lost in at the acoustic piano. Now that I have built a new studio, it's so easy for me to film musical performance videos. Expect a lot of microtonal piano and percussion in the coming days. The tuning itself is irregular but mostly based around: Undecimal [12] with Superfourth (Eurbyian tuning) 22:23:25:26:28:30:31:33:35:37:39:42:44 0: 1/1 0 unison 1: 23/22 76.9 undecimal m2 2: 25/22 221.3 undecimal acute M2 3: 13/11 289.2 undecimal m3 4: 14/11 417.5 undecimal M3 5: 15/11 536.9 undecimal super 4th 6: 31/22 593.7 undecimal tritone 7: 3/2 701.9 P5 8: 35/22 803.8 undecimal m6 9: 37/22 900.0 undecimal M6 10: 39/22 991.1 undecimal m7 11: 21/11 1119.4 undecimal M7 12: 2/1 1200.0 octave Additionally the 5th octave has the A13 chord tuned to 4:5:6:7:11:13. I really love the commas created between the 28:55 and the 77:78 (used as 78:154). The comma between the 120:121 (the undecimal superfourth against the harmonic 11th) is absolutely gorgeous. The low end does have some octave stretching and the lowest D is actually tuned to 22:29 which causes D2 and D3 to be a 29:30 away from D4 and D5 while D6 is actually 120:121. There are some other special irregularities as well such as the split note on my Eb5. The Eb5 actually plays two notes. It plays Eb5 as 44:62 and 44:56 creating a dyad on a single note. There is one little mistake in this recording but I wanted to leave it in. I plan to do more polished recordings in the future. This is just a fun sound check.
