How to Make the Best Drunken Noodles | Amazing Drunken Noodles | Easy Noodle Bowls

Drunken Noodles, or Pad Kee Mao, are great Thai street food, and actually don’t use alcohol when cooking, but are supposedly named Drunken or Drunkards because it goes great with an ice cold beer and a great cure for a hangover, and we can relate to both! Like her cousin Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles are still sexy, but while Paddy is sweet, Drunky is a little more spicy and savory, and we can relate to that, too. This is super easy to make, and goes pretty quickly, so if you’re looking to crack a beer and have a good meal or recover from the night before, fire up this dish and get to work. You can use any protein, it’s traditionally made with chicken and seafood, but we’re going to use some bourbon-seasoned beef to get us in the right direction. We’re also using Thai basil, which is like regular basil but has some anise flavor. Regs basil can work as well. We got this recipe from Recipe Tin Eats, you should check her blog out. 🍔 Subscribe for more Spatchcock Funk content just like this:    / @spatchcockfunk   🧭 Time Stamps 🧭 Introduction: 0:00 Why they're called drunken noodles: 0:19 The key ingredients: 0:41 About Thai chili peppers: 0:45 About Thai basil: 0:48 Making the sauce: 0:58 Adding water: 1:00 Adding the sugar: 1:02 Adding the oyster sauce: 1:09 Adding the soy sauce: 1:15 Stir it up and set aside: 1:20 Adding the peanut oil to the pan: 1:28 Adding the roasted garlic: 1:41 Adding the chili peppers: 1:45 Adding in the onion: 1:58 Adding the proteins: 2:08 Adding the fish sauce: 2:30 Adding the green onion: 2:32 Adding the noodles: 2:35 Adding the sauce: 2:45 Stir it up: 2:56 Adding the torn basil: 3:05 Taking a bite: 3:43 Ingredients for Sauce- -2 Tbsp Water -6 Tbsp Oyster sauce -3 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce -3 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce -4 tsp raw sugar Ingredients for Stir Fry- -1lb.
