Fragrance Review with Tracey Lundquist from Givaudan | Thompson Ferrier Candles

Review the Buddha Royale collection with, Tracey Lundquist from Givaudan. Each of the following candles has a fragrance that’s inspired by the design and is lined with real 24K gold, a high concentration of all natural essential oils and a soy wax blend. Every candle comes in a decorative signature Thompson Ferrier box that we’ve lined with a custom foam mold to ensure that the candle stays protected. For all of you who are big into gift wrapping, each candle is individually wrapped in our signature white wrapping with a silk ribbon and our Thompson Ferrier wax seal. -- Let’s start with the Croesus | Clear Glass Buddha Lined with 24K Gold This fragrance was based on the color. The design inspired me to pick an oriental floral that starts off with a white bouquet of flowers and has a creamy base. One of the strong notes here is the ambergris- a very high end and luxurious piece of the fragrance which gives a very seductive feel to the perfume. I’d decorate this candle somewhere where you want to be romantic. It has a feminine, smoky, leather & tobacco dark feel to it. -- Now for the Supernova | Clear Glass Buddha Lined with Pure Silver This fragrance is sexy and masculine with hints of Tonka which is a woody, vanilla bean. It also has notes of leather, patchouli and tobacco. This candle fragrance smells like a “tall dark & handsome man” and has a very high level of sophistication to it. -- Let’s move onto the Cleopatra | Emerald Green Glass Buddha Lined with 24K Gold This fragrance was inspired by the color green which is the symbol of power and protection. It’s a cozy, but not gourmand, fragrance. A very sophisticated and comforting smell. I’d want to put this decorative candle in my living room where I’m going to have people. It’s a cedar and very neutral fragrance you’d find in a log cabin. While you can use this fragrance all year round, I’d definitely say it’s more of a winter fragrance that’s going to take you to your Aspen winter chateau. -- Now let’s take a look at the Elizabeth II | Ruby Red Glass Buddha Lined with 24K Gold This scent starts with a red currant cassis piece which is one of my favorite fragrance notes. Then we get some hints of jasmine, white flower and saffron- which gives it that spicy smell. This perfume also has those notes of ambergris. This candle is the most expensive of the collection because the red pigments are made and imported from Japan… So to recap these fragrance notes, we have citrus, red currant and cassis at the top. At the core we have a spicy jasmine and at the bottom we have leathery amber notes. -- Finally, let’s take a look at the Caesonia | Sapphire Blue Caesonia Glass Buddha Lined with 24K Gold This is the freshest of the bunch that has a very sharp ozonic fragrance. The top notes are very fresh, crisp and oceanic. The middle notes have sheer floral tones and the bottom is musky. This candle makes me feel like I’m on a mountaintop and the crisp air is hitting me.
