Starting as Petter Vågans’s solo project at the Jazz Conservatory in Trondheim, it eventually grew to become the band we know today, with Vegar Bjerkan, Bárður Poulsen and Kim Hylland. The Fjords combine traditional songmaking with modern electronic elements and a touch of soul. They have been playlisted on P3, selected for Spotify’s Spotlight Artist 2015, and have gotten international acclaim from BBC1, The Guardian, Rolling Stone Magazine, The Independent and several others. Because a TEDx event is not only made with words, we’re very happy to announce that The Fjords will be performing at ConnecTEDx this Sunday!
