This video provides information about the Bendix® Fusion™ collision mitigation system alerts and interventions that may occur in different driving situations. It reviews Fusion with the Pedestrian Autonomous Emergency Braking (PAEB) feature and the Bendix™ BlindSpotter® side object detection system on a Kenworth T680. Bendix Fusion uses information from the vehicle’s camera, radar, brake controller, and more, which means more potential opportunities for cross checking. Multiple information sources allow the Fusion system to assess the situation and possibly assist the driver to mitigate or lessen the severity of a potential forward collision while minimizing false alerts. Bendix safety technologies complement safe driving practices. No commercially available vehicle safety technology replaces a skilled, alert driver exercising safe driving techniques and proactive, comprehensive driver training.
