A video showing buses on Parkgate Street (Dublin city centre), recorded in June 2025. Parkgate Street is located on the western edge of Dublin city centre, across the River Liffey from Heuston Station. It starts by Sean Heuston Bridge, passes Infirmary Road and the Courts of Justice, and ends at the entrance to the Phoenix Park, and beside Conyngham Road bus garage. Parkgate Street is served by Dublin Bus route 26 to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, and route 69 to Rathcoole. Since the last visit in June 2024 (   • Parkgate Street Buses [Bloom Shuttle] | Ju...  ) Route 46A has been removed from the bus network under Bus Connects, and has been replaced by route 11 along the North Circular Road to the Phoenix Park. It is now this route that uses Parkgate Street as a turning point between its last and first stops on Infirmary Road. The Phoenix Park is a draw for buses all year round, mainly in the form of tour buses. Parkgate Street is the terminus of route 99, operated by Dublin Bus, which runs to the visitor centre within the park. This video was recorded during the June Bank Holiday weekend when the Bloom Festival is on in the Phoenix Park. This five day gardening show draws large crowds, with shuttle buses running from Parkgate Street into the Phoenix Park. Some of these private hire buses are former Dublin Bus, Bus Eireann or Translink vehicles.
