Arranged by Nigar Gahramanova "Mogham Fantasia" for organ and santoor (M.Hosseiny Panah) Where the East meets the West through the mysterious Santur and majestic Organ in 5 churches in Tønsberg, Sarpsborg, Drammen, Bærum and Oslo. In the concerts, traditional music based on Mogham/Mugham from Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Norway is played, and a new commissioned work "Mogham Fantasia" for organ and santoor commissioned by Nigar Gahramanova and composed by Mirsaeed Hosseiny Panah is also premiered. The new commissioned work and the project are supported by the Culture Council - Fund for Sound and Image and the Norwegian Culture Fund. Philosophical and meditative influences of Mogham are best suited to concerts in churches where the human soul meets divine emotions: joy, sorrow, need, gratitude, love, suffering, cowardice, liberation and tranquility. In the concert you will hear how important the dialogue between people and different cultures is. Nigar Gahramanova is organist - Director of Music in Slagen church in Tønsberg in Norway. Nigar seamlessly merges her organ virtuosity with her rich background in singing, crafting a unique and extraordinary artistic identity. Her performances are marked by nuanced temperament, oriental charm, lyrical grace, and warm interpretations, making her a captivating blend of Eastern and Western musical traditions. Throughout her musical career, Nigar has earned numerous awards and scholarships both as a pianist and an organist, both within her home country and on international stages. Her educational odyssey led her through the corridors of four prestigious music conservatories: the Royal College of Music in London, the Norwegian Academy of Music, Baku Music Academy, and Grieg Academy (University of Bergen).
