Limestone Corner had a TREE in It... We Rebuilt It

We thought we were done... We were not! We rebuilt the southeast corner of the house, and now, after several months of hard work, we are completely finished! Stairs, drainage, structure and all. However, we faced some severe technical difficulties in July, and ended up not being able to record building the final section and the stairs. But that's life baby! We have several massive thank you's to give out for this week! We welcomed three WorkAway volunteers to the project. All of them were amazing and unforgettable. All three of them worked on days where the temperatures reached above 30 C. Due to the heat, this meant some extremely early mornings and late night work to beat the heat. But we all smiled, sang and sweated through it together as a team. A special thank you to Zoe and Ollie, who worked so incredibly hard with us for three weeks, to have almost none of their work documented! To list a few of the things they did: 1. Poured the final foundation section on the south wall 2. Assisted in rebuilding the last section of the south wall 3. Dug almost 3 cubic meters+ of earth by hand 4. Finished a 3 meter long trench 5. Helped us build and finish our parking space 6. Installed a new culvert 7. Backfilled the entire south wall trench with gravel and dirt and even more I can't remember! You guys are incredible, and we will miss you dearly. Thank you to everyone who helped: April, Domen, Ladi, Zoe and Ollie! You guys all rock, and we are so grateful to you for helping us get across the finish line on the the first wall. It feels like a huge accomplishment! Hvala lepa Domen in Lado.
