The first in a series of videos in which I will repair a Bulova President dress watch that was made in 1960. It has Bulova's AF11 manual-wind Swiss movement. In this video, I will completely disassemble the watch and movement. Because all watch movements are cleaned using the same process, I will not make a video of my work cleaning this movement. You can see the process of cleaning a movement on my Watch Cleaning Video: • Watch Movement Cleaning This was a learning experience. It turned out that I was wrong in my assumption of how to open the case and extract the movement, as you'll see in the video. Hopefully, this will help others working on one of these uniquely designed watches for the first time. 00:00 Introduction 00:35 Pre-Service Timegrapher Readings 01:27 Opening the Case and Extracting the Movement 04:15 Pulling the Hands 04:56 Removing The Dial 05:21 Keyless Works Disassembly 07:55 Pulling the Cannon Pinion 09:13 Letting Down the Mainspring Tension 10:16 Ratchet Wheel, Crown Wheel, Click, and Click Spring removal 11:32 Train Bridge, Train Wheels, and Escape Wheel Removal 13:09 Barrel Bridge, Stem Retaining Screw, and Mainspring Barrel Removal 14:10 Upper Balance Jewels (KIF Shock Protection System) Removal 17:06 Balance Cock and Balance Wheel Removal and Storage 18:54 Pallet Bridge, and Pallet Fork Removal 19:38 Opening the Mainspring Barrel 21:42 Lower Balance Jewels (KIF Shock Protection System) Removal 23:13 Conclusion Visit my Website: https://watchmakerchris.com Donate so I can keep buying tools and old watches to repair: https://paypal.com/donate/?hosted_but...
