Bullies are smart. They know how to package their attacks in socially acceptable ways. They typically choose jokes and questions. In this video I dive into the three levels of the question “why” and how bullies use them. Most people rarely use “why” for clarification, even though that is the literal purpose of the word. Experience has taught me that questions beginning with “why” are a favourite that bullies use to trick you into a “prey” or “scapegoat” status within a group. It is seamless and discreet, making it the perfect vehicle to inject you with their proverbial social poison. 💪🏻 the way to not fall fo the trap is to identify whether someone is asking “why…” 1) literally (seeking clarification) 2) indirectly (telling you they dont like something in the form of a question) 3) negatively (insulting you) At one point in the video, I take the opportunity to explain neurodivergent and neurotypical misunderstandings, which are also a source of social distress. #bullyingprevention #neurodivergent #advice
