Crouch cancelling isn't just a V-ISM thing. Every ISM can take advantage of it. It's all about understanding the neutral state and learning to delay or avoid it. Otherwise, you would be instantly neutral the second you touch down. It's the same reason why aerial moves with 0 recovery frames on landing can't be used for VCs (shoto tatsus or Shin Akuma DP on console).
