Today's video brings me to this Starbucks drive thru where I exercised my freedom to record on the public sidewalk. It wasn't extremely busy although there were cars periodically coming into the drive thru lane. After maybe 10-15 minutes , a couple of employees came out to the sidewalk to inform me that I couldn't record the premises according to their policy. One of the employees had a laptop in hand with the company policy on the screen. I asked the female employee if she could read it to me. After she read it, I told her that I don't work for Starbucks so their policy doesn't apply to me, especially where I was recording from. I told them I was glad we cleared that up & as they made their way back inside the establishment. Her male counterpart appeared to be on his pone as they went inside. I continued my documentation of the area & soon after the first of 3 police units arrived on scene. The officer went inside to apparently speak with the calling party. As the officer emerged from inside, he & his partner approached where I was standing to inform me that If I went inside or onto the property I could be charged with a trespass. I asked if the officers were recording the entire time with their body cameras & they informed me that they were indeed, so I I questioned if they would be trespassed as well, before telling them to kindly kick rocks. Feel free to comment below with your thoughts on today's video & I thank you for tuning in to the channel.
