“Past the streams of Oceanus, past the rock Leucas, past the gates of the sun... lies the land of dreams.” — Homer, Odyssey In ancient Greece, dreams were not merely thoughts of the night. They were presences arriving from another realm. In the Odyssey, Homer describes a distant land of dreams, beyond the streams of Oceanus and near the quiet Asphodel Meadows, where human spirits rest. From this mysterious place, dreams travel to the world of the living. Some carry truth, passing through the gate of horn, while others pass through the gate of ivory, bringing illusions and fleeting visions. Hesiod, in his Theogony, tells that the tribe of Dreams was born from Nyx, the goddess of Night, emerging from the deep darkness that precedes sleep and revelation. In this ancient world, music was not separate from these forces. The sound of the lyre was believed to guide the soul toward harmony, to calm the spirit, and to accompany moments of reflection and healing. "Dreamy Mist" unfolds within a blooming lavender field in northern Greece, where scent, light, and sound dissolve into one atmosphere. The melody does not describe a place; she evokes a state, suspended between memory, dream, and stillness.
