This week, the Angels remind us: Pendulation is key. Kids naturally shift between emotions—feeling deeply, then returning to joy and play. As adults, we often get stuck in heavy emotions like grief, anger, and anxiety or escape into distraction and avoidance. What is pendulation? Pendulation is the ability to move between difficult emotions and positive emotions without getting stuck in either. Instead of avoiding pain or staying overwhelmed, we learn to balance our emotional well-being. The secret? Allow yourself to feel your emotions fully, then shift to joy, love, and play. When we ignore our emotions, they build up and overflow. But when we pendulate between them, they become less overwhelming and easier to process. How to practice emotional balance through play: Think back to what you loved doing as a child. Engage in playful activities that bring you joy—dance, draw, sing, or explore nature. Give yourself permission to experience happiness, fun, and lightness, even during challenging times. What did you love to do as a child? How can you bring that playfulness into your life this week?
