Feb 12, 2026 The morning of this day filmed, the dead US&S E-Bell that only worked for 2 weeks and lasted on the signal here for only a month was replaced with a Siemens low pitch electronic bell. The US&S E-Bell was a used bell that replaced the previous Siemens E-Bell that ended up being broken in half. It's nice to see SACRT still has Siemens E-Bell stock although maybe receiving more GS Type 3 at a higher rate into their stock than Siemens but it's nice to see they still are receiving Siemens. This is the 4th low pitch Siemens E-Bell SACRT has used. I'm starting to get the feeling either the newer Siemens when you turn the volume up changes from high to low pitch or SACRT has the low and high pitch bells separated and only use low pitch here due to it being a highway. Glad that the MTS setting remains at this crossing. Also, this is my first crossing video of car 429 recently released into service adding to the in service Siemens S700 fleet. The inbound track here has new ties and ballast and its years long speed restriction has been lifted. Trains travel inbound at 55 now instead of 35mph. Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains on the SACRT Gold Line pass through the (Hwy CA SR 16) Jackson Road railroad crossing in Sacramento, California. Previous Bells US&S: • UP 1386 Florin Flyer Local, SacRT Light Ra... 1st Siemens: • UPY 1002 Florin Flyer Local Triple Header ... I also want to announce that I was able to get the US&S E-Bell as it was discarded to the side of the tracks and has a broken speaker so I waited around to see if I can flag a signal maintainer down as they were out in Rancho this day and waited 2 hours but show. I then decided to put the bell in an extra plastic bag I had that I use to cover my tripod legs in its tripod bag and went on down towards Rancho where I saw signal maintainers and found one and showed him the bell and the speaker and he said I can have it because it's no use to them. I looked for a signal maintainer so I can have a confirmation OK to have the bell.
