A Turn-Key Robotic RTU Thread Gaging and Cleanout System

A turn-key, operator-loaded robotic thread verification system that simultaneously checks and chases internal threads in machined heads using New Vista's Serra Tools. Using the RTU Gaging Unit, inspection time is reduced by 75% versus manual gaging. The System "GO" and then "NO GO" verifies each threaded hole in sequence. The torque and depth setting for each thread is automatically adjusted by the Gaging Unit. Quick-change tooling can be easily expanded for future parts. In this application, the threads can be contaminated with dirt and other debris when they arrive for inspection. New Vista's Serra-Tools (GO Gages with flutes) both GO gage and cleanout holes in a single pass. This program ensures that every thread is checked & each inspection result is displayed on the HMI for sorting.
