Before talking about the run any further, let's get the stats out of the way. Emulator: DuckStation 0.1-5601-g2d78b3f2 (master) The Run is neither using Standard Disc Speed, nor Fast Disc Speed. Since I'm an idiot and failed to realize that I'm reading two seperate settings, i just now realized (while uploading) that i turned on Clock Speed Control to 600%, but didn't increase both read speedup or seek speedup. Thankfully the run didn't get rejected on speedrun.com. Still, I will pay attention to this in the next run. Settings Console -Execution Mode: Recompiler (Fastest) -Enabled Clock Speed Control (Overclocked to 203.21MHz or 600%) -Read Speedup: None (Double Speed) -Seek Speedup: None (Double Speed) -Use Read Thread (Asynchronous): Off Emulation -Emulation Speed: 100% [60 FPS (NTSC) / 50 FPS (PAL)] -Runahead: Off Display -Renderer: Hardware (D3D11) -Adapter: (Default) -VSync: Off -Integer Upscaling: Off -Linear Upscaling: On -Show OSD Messages: On -Show Emulation Speed: On -Show FPS: On -Show Controller Input: On Enhancements -Internal Resolution Scale: 6x (for 1440p) -Texture Filtering: Nearest-Neighbor -Downsampling: Disabled -True Color Rendering (24-bit, disables dithering): On -Disable Interlacing (force progressive render/scan): On -Force NTSC Timings (60hz-on-PAL): Off Here are the Run Stats: -Difficulty: Easy -Run Time: 01:14:41 (IGT) -Saved: 0 times -Continue: 1 time -Alert: 9 triggered -Enemies: 21 killed -Rations: 10 used -Code Name: Pigeon In the run, i used the F12 button on my keyboard to change the disc to disc 2. Also, i fast forwarded the whole credits section. With all the technical stuff out of the way, here is my commentary on certain things. First, let's talk about the oddities. The first one being my controller inputs. I strictly used the D-pad in this run with a "dualshock" attached in the settings, giving me vibration. I just don't feel like i really need analog sticks for this game. But you may notice that I constantly have inputs in my input display, that's because the controller i use, the XBOX 20th anniversary official controller seems to have stick drift and while running the game, i tried to center them multiple times, but that didn't work out. The second oddity were the Grenades. For some reason, they displayed as 0/36, which never happened to me before. Is it because i used one right when Raven was already beaten? I don't know but that's why i took a long look in my inventory at some point. The last oddity was a major one. For some baffeling reason. in the fight against liquid, some type of debug statistics would show everytime when i press the circle button. I don't know what that is and why it shows up, I hope some of you got an explanation? Because I don't. Generally speaking, i made a lot of mistakes in the run. The vent glitch was flawless but the boba skip was not that smooth and i have huge troubles doing the weapons glitch. Both the boba and weapons glitch went much smoothly in my practice runs. The box glitch cost me so much time just because i wasn't ready to do it and overshot the damn thing. Also I can't get the liquid rythm right and also not preoperly beat REX in the fastest time. A lot of items i picked up like the Nikita weren't necessary but since this is one of my first runs i wanted to have it as a safe bet in case i mess up the fight against Raven. Fuck that Pal-Key eating Rat, of course i get the worst luck by the RNG-Gods in my first run. I triggered too many alarms and generally didn't use the fastest routes, but the ones i were more or less comfortable with. I hope I can improve in the future and make less mistakes! Thanks for watching! __________________________________________________________________ Social Media YouTube: / realraptorex Instagram: / realraptorex Twitter: / realraptorex
