Fire Outbreak at Federal Head of Service Building Abuja

Emergency responders were deployed after a fire outbreak was reported at the Head of Service building within the Federal Secretariat Complex in Abuja. Eyewitnesses say thick smoke was first noticed around 8:20 a.m., prompting staff members to evacuate the building as emergency services moved in to contain the fire. Officials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Federal Fire Service, and other security agencies responded to the incident. Authorities say the fire has been largely contained, with no casualties reported so far, although investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause.
