After a wild night of thunderstorms and cow visitations, we set off for another mountain pass. The views from the top were, as always, spectacular. The rest of the day was a beautiful walk through pastures filled with wild horses... and endless herds of cows. Finding a cow-free campsite proved to be the biggest challenge of the day! 🔽 The Tianshan Traverse In May 2025, Siyuan and I started a 30 day traverse of the Tianshan mountain range in far west China, a route seldom undertaken by even the local Chinese hikers. 🔽 Wilderness Prime Inspired by our adventures?
