It was because of the mercy of this Pollab Pillaiyar that Nambi found the place where the devara thirumurai were and restored Tamil pride. It was this Polla Pillai who was responsible for revealing to the world the Devara rituals stored in Thillai. Nambiandar had the privilege of seeing Lord Ganesha in person because of his undying devotion to Nambi Pollappillaiyar. When the people of the village mocked him as Mudan, with the grace of Lord Vinayaka, he gained great wisdom and got the power to write poetry.
