Saint Patrick, Gold, John Lennon, and a rare archaeoastronomical solar phenomenon. CROAGH PATRICK, IRELAND’S HOLY MOUNTAIN. I visited Croagh Patrick in October 2025, and filmed parts of my hike as you can see in this video. Unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy the views due to the typical Irish weather that day, but I loved it all the same. I’ve climbed CP many times in my life as my grandmother was from Castlebar, County Mayo. My family and I went back to the West of Ireland many times throughout my childhood, and we continue to go there most years now. It’s a really stunning place. If you’ve never been to the West of Ireland, look it up and see if you can go. If you love getting outdoors it’s the best place for you. Nowhere feels quite like it.
