Welcome to Lesson 11 of our English course! In this lesson, we focused on daily routines and speaking, helping learners talk confidently about their everyday life, work, and free time using clear and natural English. This lesson brings together Present Simple, time, days of the week, and common verbs, and turns grammar into real communication. Talking About Daily Routines We practised common daily activities: • wake up • get up • have breakfast • go to work / school • have lunch • finish work • go home • have dinner • go to bed Examples: • I wake up at 7 a.m. • I have breakfast at home. • I go to work at 9 o’clock. • I go to bed at 11 p.m. Using Present Simple for Routines We use the Present Simple to talk about things we do every day. Examples: • I work from Monday to Friday. • She works in an office. • We study English every day. Adding Time to Your Routine • I wake up at 6:30 a.m. • I start work at 9 o’clock. • I finish work at 5 p.m. Adding Days • I work on Monday. • I study English on Tuesday and Thursday. • I don’t work on Sunday. Full Routine Sentences (Very Important) • I wake up at 7 a.m. on Monday. • I go to work at 9 o’clock on weekdays. • I study English in the evening. • I relax at home on Saturday night. Asking Questions About Daily Routines • What time do you wake up? • What do you do in the morning? • Do you work or study? • When do you finish work? • What do you do in the evening? Short Answers • I wake up at 7. • I work during the day. • I study English in the evening. Talking About Work & Free Time • I work in an office. • I work from home. • I don’t work at the weekend. • In my free time, I watch TV. • I listen to music in the evening. Common Adverbs (Natural Speaking) • always • usually • often • sometimes • never Examples: • I usually wake up at 7. • I sometimes work on Saturday. • I never work on Sunday. Common Mistakes ❌ I wake up in 7 o’clock. ✅ I wake up at 7 o’clock. ❌ I work in Monday. ✅ I work on Monday. ❌ I am wake up at 7. ✅ I wake up at 7.
