Today is all about creating a garden-inspired Christmas during these cold and snowy winter days. Since the weather has kept us from making more progress on the greenhouse, we’re spending the day making homemade Christmas gift ideas — including the sweetest little mushroom ornaments made from my homemade air-dry clay. I love bringing the garden indoors during the winter months, and today’s decorations are filled with natural textures, dried treasures, and handmade charm. A simple, cozy, old-fashioned Christmas — inspired by the beauty of the garden. Then, we’re planting ranunculus corms for early spring blooms. They’re one of my favorite flowers to grow for bouquets and to use in spring planters. A quick greenhouse update: we finally found clear panel sheets for the upper half of the structure! Now we’re just waiting for the weather to warm enough to keep building. Thank you for spending this slow winter day with us — creating, planting, and dreaming of spring. If you’re new here, welcome! We share gardening, homesteading, greenhouse building, cut flowers, and cozy seasonal living.
