TRIP REPORT | I'd Never Seen Something Like This! | Dallas to Las Vegas | American Airlines A321

American Airlines Trip Report flying from Dallas to Las Vegas onboard one of the American Airlines Airbus A321 on a super-warm spring afternoon in Nevada. One of the most breathtaking flights I've done in my entire life. That's the best way I can describe what happened on this flight. A combination of views that I will hardly ever forget. Achieving almost perfection. After a nice planespotting session at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, mainly of American Airlines airplanes, as Dallas is their main airport hub, and a gate change (including a terminal change via the SkyLink), we boarded the American Airlines Airbus A321 that would take us for the first time to Las Vegas. The chances of having some amazing views of all Las Vegas area, Nuevo Mexico, and, especially, the Grand Canyon of Colorado River, made me have some big expectations for this flight. The reality was far, far, far better than those expectations. The Grand Canyon was much more spectacular than what I imagined and the approach to Las Vegas over Lake Mead was incredible. After a bumpy departure from Dallas, we flew westwards over Texas towards New Mexico. All the area of the Pecos River, the southern part of the Rocky Mountains, and the Albuquerque area really surprised me. I would never imagine that they are so beautiful. From Albuquerque, we flew in direct course to Las Vegas, which took us just south of the Grand Canyon. What can I say about the Grand Canyon? How describing those views? It is enormous, huge, beautiful, scary, amazing. Seeing it, with its huge cliffs, enormous rocks, makes you feel so small. I don't know, it was a long time since I didn't have an experience like that. The Earth has many magic places... for sure, this is one of those. I will visit it as soon as possible.
