In this conversation, I’m joined by Rev. Robert Thompson, a London priest, for an open and honest discussion about being gay, faith, and the Church of England’s Living in Love and Faith (LLF) process and how the institution has fundamentally let down their LGBTQ+ community. Together, we explore what it feels like to be “othered” in the church as a LGBTQ+ person, and why certain evangelical positions on same-sex marriage and gay clergy can echo the isolating dynamics often found in high-control or cult-like environments. Rev.
