We moved across the world to Aotearoa New Zealand with a hope that we could change our lives for the better. Spending more time adventuring outdoors, meeting likeminded people and growing outside of our comfort zones. These past few months we’ve lived in beautiful coastal Mount Maunganui, doing a mixture of house sitting, living out of our car and renting a room. Life here is beautiful, but we also didn’t quite expect it to be how it’s been. So, has moving here really changed us? Want to see more from us? Catch up on all episodes from our 3 month travels across Portugal last summer: • Van Life Portugal Or catch up on our 3 month travels across Europe back in 2023: • All of Van Life Summer '23 📸 Find us on instagram - @alongtheatlas 💻 Check out our website for location guides, travel tips & more https://www.alongtheatlas.com Here's a bit about us: We’re pretty sure that the very first time we met included hours discussing our hopes to travel the world and so it’s no surprise that in 2023 we eventually made the decision to quit our jobs, pack up our things and leave to travel full-time in our self-converted van. We wanted to leave the world of 9-5's and society's expectations behind as we knew this route in life wouldn't make us happy. But after travelling on and off (mostly off) for the past year and a half, we decided we wanted to try things a different way. What if we could explore the world full-time by living and working in different places? With this new plan in mind, we picked our first destination - Aotearoa New Zealand. And now, here we are, ready for a year of adventure.
