Nature is calling back it's own, and is silently waiting...

Have you ever heard of the idiom "the silence was deafening"? Well, today, when we were out, day five of searching for the red leash, there was no sound at all. No cars in the distance, no planes overhead, and certainly no crows talking to us. As we ponder what this could mean in a world bursting at the seams in so many ways. Is it foreshadowing something more ominous, or is it just the result of it being an early, cold, dark evening where people and wildlife have stayed home? The whole atmosphere changes suddenly when a crow appears, a plane flies overhead, and we hear a vehicle in the distance, but then the silence returns, spurring us to also head to the comfort and safety of our home. With a small request made to the Universe and my Angels, our walk in the woods ends on a high note that reminds us that no matter what is happening, we are never alone.
