When we were in Vienna, Austria, we did a day trip to the quaint town of Melk in the Wachau Valley, to see the stunning Melk Abbey. Melk Abbey was founded in 1089 AD and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And, we had the opportunity to see for ourselves how magnificent it is. Plus, it sits upon a rocky outcrop… where the surrounding views overlooking Wachau Valley and the Danube River are amazing.
