Hygienist, Jill Meyer-Lippert was inspired to create Side Effect Support after witnessing her mother’s oral health challenges during treatment for breast cancer. Oral care is often overlooked in cancer treatment. The goal is to Improve the oral health for those enduring cancer treatment. Oral side effects of chemotherapy and head and neck radiation can affect the quality-of-life and health of oral cancer patients. Side effects of chemotherapy can potentially delay or complicate treatments, therefore compromising the patient's ability to beat these terrible diseases.
