Se hai dubbi su questo nodo, ti consiglio di guardare prima il tutorial dedicato al nodo barretta. Il risultato finale è un sottobicchiere con un diametro di circa 18–19 cm, frange comprese. Può essere realizzato in un solo colore oppure con più colori, a seconda dello stile che preferisci. La corda ideale è una corda da 4 o 5 mm. Si utilizzano fili di diverse lunghezze, che riassumo qui sotto.
