4 weeks out from our bodybuilding show and we are trying to keep these glutes FULL! The new exercise is a step up using a smith machine and a bench-it's really more like "step down". I love this exercises because it perfectly targets the glutes and it hits that lower part of the glute. If the "tie in" were its own muscle, that's what this feels like lol With step ups, the problem is most people end up pushing off the floor versus driving with the stepping leg. Stepping down and just barely tapping the floor solves that and keeps all the tension in the working glute. There are lots of great exercises in this video- but the step up/step down was by far my favorite and one you're going to want to incorporate in your next glute session!
