Unity Crash Course for Absolute Beginners! Learn C# and Make Games!!

If you like playing games, and have always wanted to make your own but didn't know where to start.. well, you can start here! In this Unity Crash Course for beginners, we begin from absolute ground-zero by installing the Unity Hub, then we install a long-term support version of the Unity Game Engine, and Visual Studio Code with the best extensions to help us write C#. Then we walk through the Unity editor UI, so we can get familiar with all the tools before diving into more complex topics. If you're new to my channel, welcome!! As a heads-up, my teaching style is more long-form with minimal editing, which I believe offers a more in-depth approach to learning software. No stone is left un-turned, as we dive into creating a simple UI using Unity, and connecting buttons to events that change the game world. Using C#, we start with the basics like creating variables and learn the fundamental data types, then we learn how some of the standard built-in functions work in the MonoBehaviour namespace. We then build our own custom functions that allow us to generate random colors and instantiate random objects with a click of a button! I love making games and apps with Unity, and I hope that if anything, this crash course inspires you to experiment and explore Unity and help you start your journey into the super fun world of game development.
