Parry Sound XC - AKA "Rumble at the Rumball XC" has RETURNED!! (and OO racers are STOKED!)

The wait is over — the legendary XC race is back! After disappearing from OO’s schedule in 2018, the much-missed and wildly popular XC event has finally returned. Every year since its absence, racers have waited, hoped, prayed — some even begged — for its comeback. Well, in 2025, our collective dirt dreams have been answered. Thanks to the tireless efforts of trail-master Jay Vanderweide and his dedicated crew of volunteers, the XC course is not only back, but better than ever. They've revived sections of the classic route and added exciting new terrain that'll have even the grumpiest racer grinning under a layer of dust and mud. To keep this incredible race alive for future seasons, organizers are requesting everyone to follow three simple rules: 1. This is a DRY race — No alcohol on site. 2. Noise Limits — Sound tests will be conducted. Bikes must not exceed 102 dB at high revs. (If your exhaust is overdue for repacking or is louder than a Metallica concert, it’s time to dial it down.) 3. Ride Slow to the Start — The road from pits to the start line must be ridden slowly and quietly. No wheelies, no speeding, no rev bombing. Violators may be asked to leave the property immediately.
