San Francisco Walk ~ Hyde St Cable Car Turnaround & Aquatic Park

This is a short 11 minute jaunt through the National Maritime Historic Park area around the Hyde St Cable Car Turnaround. We begin at the turnaround and walk through the park. Across the street we’ll see The Cartoon Art Museum. The world famous Ghirardelli Square shopping block looms nearby. Next, we pass the Maritime Museum, as we head to Aquatic Park; a mini water front that affords views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the historic ships docked at the Hyde St Pier. We take a peak at the Hyde St Pier entrance before heading back up Hyde St to the Cable Cars. This area is considered the start of Fisherman’s Wharf. Head east along Jefferson St for more shops and food, culminating at Pier 39.
