Lance was the first wrestler in WCW to hold three singles championships at the same time when he won the US title, the Hardcore title and the Cruiserweight title. Showing how much he loved his home country, Lance changed the name of the US title to the Canadian Heavyweight Championship, and not long after collecting the 3 belts, Lance formed "Team Canada". Lance debuted in WCW during a time when the company was going downhill. The debut happened long after the nWo had dominated the company, and the debut also happened when the WWE were destroying Nitro in the television ratings. Still, Lance Storm became one of the better things to happen to WCW during the final months of the company's existence.
