In terms of its location, St Enodoc Church is one of the strangest located churches in Cornwall, situated in the middle of St Enodoc Golf Course, at Trebetherick in North Cornwall. Located within the parish of St Minver Lowlands, St Enodoc Church stands in the middle of what were, before the golf course was built, sand dunes. It is below Brea Hill, and overlooks the Camel Estuary and Daymer Bay. Parts of St Enodoc Church can be traced back to the 12th century, however includes 13th and 15th century additions. By the 18th century, sand blown across the dunes by the winds coming off the sea had buried the church. The church, however, remained accessible and open for services, and access to the church, which was virtually underground at this point, was through a hole in the roof. In 1864, the sand was removed and the church was restored. This restoration included replacing much of the furnishings, however the 15th century rood screen remained. Poet Sir John Betjeman was a great admirer of St Enodoc Church. Sir John Betjeman wrote many poems inspired by the church and the surrounding area. One of these poems include 'Sunday afternoon service at St Enodoc'. In fact, he was such an admirer of St Enodoc Church that St Enodoc Church is now his final resting place, and his grave can be found between the church porch and the entrance gate. St Enodoc Church consists of a nave and a chancel. Its tower with its slightly twisted spire is located on the side of the church, and its porch, the entrance into the church, is located on the other side, where an ancient cross originally found during the 1864 restoration of the church can be found. Inside the church, there are a number of stained glass windows. At the back, the font can be found, with pews leading up from there to the 15th century rood screen. Beyond that is the church's granite altar. To the right of this are more pews, and also a digital organ to provide music to the church's congregation. St Enodoc Church has a total seating capacity of 110.
