When people say the French Riviera is one of the most beautiful places with picturesque old towns, glittering turquoise sea water and scenic views - they are not joking! Villefranche-sur-Mer is our first place port of call and we must confess, we were absolutely blown away - and a bonus, it's only 7 mins train ride away from Nice. Our tips: ⭐Beware the pickpockets - when we arrived at Nice airport, one of the staff at passport control warned us about the pickpockets in Nice. Literally two hours later, we became a victim of the pickpockets at the train station. They worked in a group, one pretended to ask where the train we were on was going while the friends did the action - luckily they didn't get anything. So, keep your belongings tight on you and keep vigilant!!!! ⭐Purchase a travel card - if you wish to explore around Nice and its neighbors, we found the Lignes d’Azur’s La Carte super useful and convenient. You can use it for the trams and the buses.
