Filmed, well,,, today. I've been wanting to do a video like this for a long time. I had a few minutes of free time and a couple of adversaries. This session gives a good base line on the state of tune the my Torque Monster461 has. I've fielded a fair amount of dialog on the TM461. Most is good. A few of the younger guys that I built similar saws for have called them a 481 because of the power output. Technically the 461, rated at 6.0 HP, is a Psy-Ko S level zippkitted saw with my "patented" "Torque Tweak" added in the mix. A combo that is proving to be deadly. After filming I revisited the volume that the 461 had cut. It felled and bucked at least 500K (full man) of timber in the summer of 2019 and another 50K in the fall. That, coupled with the saw testing has it somewhere around the 600K mark of timber nuked. Seen here with a 42" roller nose bar with 1 3/4 pounds of chain. The 088 is bone stock. Rated at 8.6 HP. It obviously has not been used into submission based on the physical look and starter rope compression test. The timed runs results: TM461 76.45cc tuned at 13,560 went 30.96 down and 29.01 up. Stock 088 121.6cc tuned a t11,520 went 28.98 down and 31.01 up. In the end, Split Decision. Naturally, the 088 skimmed the side of a knot on the way up which slowed it down a bit. The point of this exercise? Showing how well the 461 handles itself with wide kerf chain and a mid length bar. Showing how it handles itself in the pit with a 8.6 HP saw. This time, I can say that the owner is well pleased with how his 461 runs. At the time of your viewing this, I may or may not be available for custom saw modifications. If you are interested, please shoot me an email. danger_ cat@rocketmail.com That is the best, first point of contact to get the process started. Thanks for watching. Hello. I posted the results of the times runs in the description. Along with some other pertinent Info. Chiming in as the owner of the 461, I'm well pleased at how well it held it's own while giving up 45.15 cc AND 2.6 HP in stock form. Thanks for watching.
