Bikepacking navigation: Komoot, Wahoo and Garmin

We are explaining in this video the way we are navigating in our one year MTB World Tour. We are using Komoot to create the map directions and to import GPX data of preestablished trails. When creating new MTB trails in the program, we are often routed on hiking trails. Gravel rides on the other hand are routed on MTB trails. As a bike computer we are using Wahoo Elemnt Roam because it is relatively cheap compared to Garmin, it has free maps all over the world and maps can be installed over WiFi from the phone. In contrast, a Garmin bike computer is more expensive, other map regions are paid and one needs a computer to download maps. As a navigation backup we can use a Garmin Fenix 7x watch (it comes with free world maps) or a Garmin Inreach for basic navigation.   / bikeophilie.  .
