This week I actually reduced my HYROX training volume — and there’s a very specific reason why. After two weeks of building my aerobic base, fatigue started to build up, so this week is a deload week. In this video I break down why reducing training at the right time can actually help you get stronger, faster, and more consistent during a HYROX training block. ⸻ Road to a sub-60 minute HYROX continues. This week I take you through what a deload week looks like during my training block — including easy runs, recovery work, and how I balance training while working a full-time job. If you’re training for HYROX or hybrid endurance events, understanding when to push and when to pull back can make a huge difference in performance. Most of my easy runs and base work in this block are done on the NordicTrack Commercial 2450, which has been a great tool for controlled pacing and repeatable aerobic work during training. 👉 NordicTrack Commercial 2450: https://influencers.nordictrack.com/c... iFIT membership sold separately. ⸻ Follow the Road to Sub-60 Series Subscribe for weekly HYROX training videos, race prep, and hybrid athlete training.
