We started with a flavorful plate of potstickers and dim sum each bite was heavenly. The steamed shrimp fried rice was perfectly cooked, while the seasoned crushed cucumber added a refreshing touch. What made this experience even more enriching was the conversation that I had with the owner. During our chat, we delved into the rich tapestry of Chinese culture. For instance, did you know that China is home to the world's longest and most complex written language, using characters instead of an alphabet? We also talked about education systems. China's schools are famously rigorous, with a strong emphasis on mathematics and sciences, which might be quite different from the approaches in the USA, focused more on fostering creativity and critical thinking. Aonan shared insightful stories about her experiences growing up in China, which really highlighted the cultural contrasts and similarities between China and the United States. It was fascinating to learn about the importance of respect, family values, and community in Chinese culture, things that truly resonate with me. The restaurant itself is a gem clean, simply decorated with lots of white, and featuring an open kitchen where you can watch handmade noodles being crafted to order. There's plenty of parking, making it a convenient stop for a delicious meal. I feel so honored and blessed to have had this opportunity to share a wonderful meal and conversation.
