We started the day with an awesome view from the Petrovaradin fortress onto the Danube river and the city of Novi Sad. An amazing hotel to stay at with a lot of interesting things to see and explore in the area, it was definitely worth it. We made our way through the old city of Novi Sad and continued towards the Croatian border. We had to take a detour two times because of road maintenance and a car accident. After what felt like a few hours, we finally managed to cross the Danube river, which meant that we crossed the border and entered Croatia and the European Union. Everything went smoothly and we continued to the town of Vukovar where we were finally able to find lunch and checked into a guest house. After that, we went to see the famous water tower which was just 10 walking minutes away.
